Shakira is an award winning content creator and a leading women’s health. Specialising in postnatal exercise, perimenopause health, hormones and emotional well-being.
Alongside her TV work Shakira offers talks and coaching for corporate companies and women in the workplace. Combining expertise in women’s health, with training in the body-mind connection Shakira’s coaching sessions provide techniques and pathways for companies to boost all staff motivation and productivity by utilising the powerful link between body and mind.
Shakira published her debut book The StrongLikeMum Method in 2022 with Hachette Global, a powerful guide redefining motherhood and wellbeing. This concept has now be expanded into The Strong Like Mum Youtube platform, in partnership with The Independent Media group.
Shakira also co-created a compassionate series designed for Tommy’s Charity, for women who have experienced pregnancy loss and a longer form documentary for Channel 4OD as part of the Celebrity Send Off series. Never afraid to try something out of the box, Shakira is known for her ability to uplift, empower and connect with people through the screen.
Shakira also regularly contributes articles to publications such as Vogue, Hello!, Stylist, Women’s Health Magazine and Huffington Post, speaking candidly about physical fitness, mental health, body positivity, motherhood, and the benefits of living an active lifestyle.
The cover star for both Women’s Fitness in September 2025 and Women’s Running Magazine in 2026, Shakira hopes to make health accessible for all and shatter outdated stereotypes in women’s wellness.

Shakira has also launched two series of her StrongLikeMum Podcast, sharing expert advice and de-bunking outdated stereotypes of health and parenting. And is the resident wellbeing expert on The BBC Make A Difference Radio Show.
A proud mum of 4 and self-proclaimed country bumpkin, Shakira raises her lively family in the English countryside with her husband and a chocolate Labrador. Enjoying cooking, home decor and exploring the countryside (preferably in bare feet)!
Bilingual in both German and English, Shakira is proud of her Nigerian and German heritage and combines these strong cultures to add a unique and vibrant energy to all of her work.
